Bhakti Homes – Bhakti Steps

Dear Prabhus and Matajis, Hare Krsna.

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! We, at ISKCON Congregational Development Ministry (CDM) are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the new and improved Bhakti Home program together with its brand-new website packed full of useful tools and resources to help your congregations to grow in Krsna consciousness.

Bhakti Home is a program centered around Krsna conscious homes aiming to connect Krsna conscious families with additional support and exciting resources in today’s busy world. The Bhakti Home website will provide an online space to learn, download resources for both adults and youth, families and individuals. The new website will contain interesting and educational videos on spiritual practices, interviews with senior devotees, access to books, and other exciting media. Devotees will be able to ask questions to our team experienced devotees around the world, seek advice on a range of topics, connect to devotees and congregations locally and worldwide and a whole lot more. Devotees will also be encouraged to contribute to this wonderful project which is being relaunched with the blessing and encouragement of HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja, who recently launched his appeal, “please help me”.

Through our website, we also hope to work more closely with temples, local centers and congregations to better understand the needs of our various congregations around the world, and truly unite to serve Srila Prabhupada’s mission.

Each member of the Bhakti Home family is encouraged to join the Bhakti Steps program to gradually progress through sadhana levels – Sraddavan, Krsna or Guranga Sevaka, Krsna or Gauranga Sadhaka, Srila Prabhupada Asraya, and Sri Guru Carana Asraya.

In a lecture on 13 December 1972, Srila Prabhupada said:

“Everyone can establish a small temple in his house, and he can begin family-wise — himself, his wife, his children. That is wanted. This Krsna consciousness movement wants to see that every house has become a temple of Krsna. That is our program.”

The ISKCON CDM Bhakti Home Project aims to do just this by providing Krsna Conscious individuals and families by supporting them in their daily endeavors of sadhana practice, sastric study, Deity worship, children’s education, resources and tips to keep the family healthy, strong and together in Krsna Consciousness and a forum to exchange support between families, communities, and temples. We also want to invite you to join us by contributing your time, skills, talent and ideas. And on that note, we want to start off by asking you for your valuable input on our name “Bhakti Home” and the logo. Do you like them, can you suggest alternatives? What do you think will work better? – Please help us by filling in the attached survey.

Srila Prabhupada was also often quoted saying “united we stand, divided we fall” and “your love for me will be shown by how much you cooperative after I am gone.”

We look forward to supporting you to develop your respective congregations.
