In order to commemorate the appearance day of the Bhagavad Gita or Gita Jayanti, His Holiness Bhakti Purushottam Swami and the sankirtana department of Sri Dham Mayapur organized a four-day public celebration.
Around a thousand people gathers daily in a massive and colorful tent that was erected within the Mayapur campus to observe different presentations to glorify the Gita like philosophical speeches by Maharaja and other preachers, dances, drama and the issuing of certificates for the students of the Gita course online.
ISKCON Congregational Development Ministry (CDM) took part in this celebration and presented the ‘Gita For Everyone’ program to around six hundred devotees and guests. Participants received with great delight the presentation with the attractive PowerPoint slides. Many of them expressed their appreciation for the practicality of the contents of this innovative program.
We encourage everyone to invite guests and devotees to congregate and glorify the Gita on this auspicious event of the appearance of the Gita, the Gita Jayanti.
We also hope that on this month of December, where the marathon of Srila Prabhupada’s books takes place, innumerable Gitas and other Srila Prabhupada’s books are given out. Let us unitedly broadcast the teachings of Lord Krsna, not only to benefit ourselves, but the entire world.
